Student’s will create an ABC’s chart where they had to write a word with each leter of the alphabet that deals with the Holocaust.  A power point with my list is shown.  There are some pictures that are graphic.

Student’s were put into two groups.  Each group was given a question they had to answer.  Upon answering the question student’s had to get with a partner from the opposite group they are in.  The pair will share answers and at the end of class student’s should have two short paragraphs with their answer.  Below you will see the questions.

1.  How did the Nazis come to power?

2.  What were the beliefs of the National Socialist Part?  (Nazi)

Student’s were put into two groups.  Each group had to answer two questions.  When finishing answer the question student’s are to partner up with somebody in an opposite group as them.  When this is done answers will be shared and all questions will end up being answered.  Below are the questions.

1.  -Name the political parties and their platform

-Explain who Dred Scott is and his significant.

2.  -Name Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln stance on slavery.

-What is the significants of Harpers Ferry

Student’s will review the Weimar Republic.  I called the The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.  Yes, I like Cling Eastwood.  At the end of this lesson student’s will understand the start of the Weimar republic (the bad), the middle of the Weimar Republic (the Good), and the end of the Republic (the ugly).  At the end of the power point presentation student’s will create a chart showing major aspects of all three categories.

Today student’s were put into groups of 3 or less.  Numerous questions were written on the board.  Using only the computer/internet student’s had to find the answers to the questions.  This is like a scavenger hung.  For ever two questions the groups get correct an extra credit point will be awarded.

Student’s were given 10 minutes to prepare for a test.  When the 10 minutes were up student’s then took the test.

 

US History

Student’s were put into groups.  Random questions about the unit were asked and they had to be answered in the group.  If the group got the question they were allowed to take a shot from one of 3 distances to determined how many points the team earned.  This was done to review for a test.
